This 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series was delivered new to Hoehn Motors Mercedes-Benz in Carlsbad, California, and was acquired by its current owner in 2019. The 6.2-liter V8 was subsequently fitted with a revised RENNtech engine control unit and exhaust system in addition to a Weistec high-performance air intake system, while the seven-speed automatic transmission was fitted with a RENNtech valve body and a rev-match shift kit. Finished in black over black Nappa leather, the car rides on 19″ AMG multi-spoke forged aluminum wheels and is further equipped with AMG adjustable coilover suspension, bi-xenon headlights, carbon-fiber trim, COMAND infotainment, navigation, Keyless-Go, and dual-zone automatic climate control. This CLK63 AMG Black Series has 57k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, two fob keys, the removed factory equipment, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
DTM-inspired flared fenders, carbon-fiber-reinforced front and rear aprons, and a carbon-fiber decklid spoiler were added to the CLK63 Black Series. This example is finished in Black (040U) and features bi-xenon headlights, heated side mirrors, fender vents, and quad polished exhaust outlets. Chips in the paint are noted on the front fascia.
The 19″ AMG multi-spoke forged aluminum wheels are mounted with 265/30 front and 285/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires showing a mixture of 2024 and 2025 date codes. Adjustable coilovers and AMG Electronic Stability Program (ESP) were standard. Stopping power is provided by multi-piston AMG-branded calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. Work since 2020 included replacing the emergency brake cable and shoes as well as the right rear shock absorber and brake pads and rotors.
The bolstered bucket seats are trimmed in black Nappa leather, and the rear seats were deleted in the Black Series models. Carbon fiber trim accents the interior, and amenities include Keyless-Go, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a remote-mounted CD changer, and COMAND infotainment with navigation.
The flat-bottom leather-wrapped AMG steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and frames a 200-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 57k miles, approximately 11k of which have been added under current ownership.
The hand-assembled 6.2-liter M156 V8 was modified under current ownership with a RENNtech engine control unit and Weistec high-performance ROW air boxes, mass air flow sensors, and air filters. Work since 2020 included replacing the battery, lower oil pan gasket, engine mounts, cylinder head bolts, lifter buckets, fuel sending unit, and drive belts. The oil was changed in May 2025.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission that was retrofitted with a revised RENNtech valve body and a rev-match shift kit, and it is linked to a limited-slip differential. A RENNtech Sound and Performance exhaust system has been installed and includes short-tube headers and an X-pipe. The secondary catalytic converters have been removed but are included in the sale.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Hoehn Motors Mercedes-Benz in Carlsbad, California, and lists factory colors, equipment, options, and a total retail price of $138,375. Manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, two fob keys, and the removed factory intake and exhaust components will also accompany the vehicle.
