- Mercedes hit a grassy roundabout and launched into the air.
- Police fined the driver $365 after reviewing the incident.
The driver of a Mercedes-Benz in Romania has remarkably survived a terrifying crash that saw them spear into a roundabout at high speed, soar over two cars, and crash into a gas station.
The moment the sedan left terra firma was caught on camera, and to say the footage is shocking would be an understatement.

Local media reports that the accident happened earlier this week in the city of Oradea. Security camera footage shows the Mercedes rapidly approaching the roundabout without any indication that the driver attempted to slow down.
It then soars into the air and flies over two cars on the opposite side of the roundabout.
The Benz reportedly crashed into the pavement next to a gas station. Fortunately, it didn’t crash into the pumps, which could have made things even worse.
How Did This Happen?
Local authorities confirmed the driver suffered a diabetic episode behind the wheel and lost consciousness. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene and managed to free the man from the vehicle.
He is believed to have sustained minor to moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment before being discharged and returning home.
Surprisingly, The New York Post reports that police fined the 49-year-old driver $365 over the crash. He is also thought to be facing a possible 90-day license suspension.
As the car flies past the camera, it appears that all of the curtain airbags deployed the moment it used the roundabout as a ramp, no doubt helping the driver avoid any serious head injuries.
