This 1975 Ferrari 365 GT4 BB is one of 387 built during a four-year production run. The car is powered by a 4.4-liter F102A flat-12 mated to a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential and features pop-up headlights, Carello fog lights, center-lock 15″ Cromodora wheels, sextuple exhaust outlets, Daytona-style seats, air conditioning, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a MOMO steering wheel, and a gated shifter. The car was sold new in Germany and spent time in Japan prior to its importation to the US in 2016. An engine-out service was subsequently performed by Symbolic International of San Diego, California, and a mechanical refresh by Patrick Ottis Company of Berkeley, California, that was completed in 2021 included servicing the engine, transaxle, and clutch assembly. The car was then repainted in Verde Germoglio with satin black lower body panels in 2022 before being offered on BaT in May 2023. It was later sold by the selling dealer on BaT in September 2023. This 365 GT4 BB shows 52k kilometers (~32k miles) and is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer with a Marcel Massini report, partial service records, and a clean Montana title.
The 365 GT4 BB was the first production Ferrari fitted with a mid-mounted 12-cylinder engine, and its wedge-shaped styling was derived from the 1968 Pininfarina P6 concept car. Ferrari built a total of 387 units of the 365 GT4 BB between 1973 and 1976. This example was previously finished in red and underwent a repaint in Verde Germoglio with satin black lower body panels in 2022. Features include pop-up headlights, exposed Carello fog lights, a roof-mounted spoiler, and sextuple exhaust outlets. The paint is beginning to lift on the right quarter panel.
Center-lock 15″ Cromodora wheels are mounted with Michelin XWX tires showing 2021 date codes, and a temporary spare wheel and tire are stored in the front trunk. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at each corner. The front and rear suspension bushings, as well as all four rear shocks, were replaced in 2019.
Said to be one of 299 left-hand-drive examples, the car features Daytona-style seats upholstered in black leather along with a gated dogleg shifter. A Sony AM/FM/cassette stereo is installed within a Pioneer mounting frame, and additional equipment includes air conditioning, a quartz clock, and power windows.
The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation including a tachometer with a 7,700-rpm redline accompanied by a 330-km/h speedometer and auxiliary gauges that extend to the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 52k kilometers (~32k miles), approximately 100 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The 4.4-liter F102A flat-12 is longitudinally mounted behind the passenger compartment and produced 380 horsepower when new. A 2016 engine out service performed by Symbolic International of San Diego, California, included rebuilding the Magnetti Marelli Dinoplex ignition system. A mechanical refresh completed by Patrick Ottis Company of Berkeley, California, in 2021 included replacing the timing belt, cleaning the four Weber 40 IF3 carburetors, and adjusting the timing. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The transaxle and clutch assembly were serviced by Patrick Ottis Company as part of the aforementioned mechanical refresh.
