Known for its meticulously reimagined Land Rovers, ECD Automotive has recently expanded its craft beyond British off-roaders. After unveiling an upgraded Jaguar E-Type and a 1967 Ford Mustang earlier this year, the company has now taken on a new challenge: the 993-generation Porsche 911.
Dubbed Project Gravette, this creation is more than just a cosmetic restoration. ECD has gone deep beneath the surface, pairing its design expertise with a series of serious mechanical upgrades.
Slotted behind the passenger cell is an original M64 3.6-liter turbocharged six-cylinder from Porsche that’s been tuned to deliver 500 hp. We don’t know what changes have been made to increase grunt, but ECD says the car has a new sport exhaust system and an upgraded six-speed manual transmission.

Alongside the extra power, this Porsche 993 now features a comprehensive chassis update. Brembo brakes and Bilstein suspension components have been fitted, improving both ride and stopping power. It rides on 18-inch RS-style wheels wrapped in Michelin tires, grounding the car’s performance credentials in modern engineering without compromising its heritage.
Plenty of work has been done to the car’s bodywork that’s now finished in Icy White with Agate Gray metallic elements. Perhaps the most obvious modern touches made are the fitment of new headlights with LED DRLs, as well as new taillights and a light bar, which suit the car perfectly. It still looks like a 993, but is now just a little fresher.
It’s hard not to fall in love with the interior of the restomodded Porsche 911, either. It’s been equipped with new Recaro Cross Sportster CS seats trimmed in black leather with metal grommet inserts and a custom fabric weave. ECD has also added a black suede headliner, billet silver hardware, and new white gauges.
Moreover, a modern infotainment display has been neatly incorporated into the dashboard, complete with Bluetooth connectivity and linked to new Focal speakers.
Price? Likely Not a Concern
ECD hasn’t shared pricing for Project Gravette, though it’s safe to assume this kind of craftsmanship doesn’t come cheap. Still, for those who dream of a restomodded 911 blending analog charm with modern performance, it’s hard to imagine cost being a deal-breaker.
